Nestled in the heart of nature, Ehalagala Lake Resort was the ideal romantic escape for me and my travel companion. The setting was simply breathtaking, featuring lush grounds that made you feel immersed in the beauty of the tropics. Our air-conditioned room was spacious and inviting, equipped with a comfortable sitting area and a lovely balcony where we could unwind while sipping on ginger tea. The resort's outdoor pool provided a moment of peace and relaxation, allowing us to soak up the sun in tranquil surroundings, often entirely to ourselves. I was particularly impressed by the welcoming staff, who struck the perfect balance between being attentive and allowing us to savor our time together. With delightful meals available at the on-site restaurant, we indulged in both local and international cuisine - a culinary adventure that complemented the stunning views of Sigiriya Rock in the distance. For anyone looking to explore, the complimentary bicycles offered a fun way to discover the nearby natural parks, making Ehalagala not just a place to stay but a gateway to memorable adventures. Whether you're a couple in search of romance or a solo traveller yearning for tranquility, this resort ticks all the boxes for a blissful getaway.
